- For the options:
- Curia used a simpler 3-option approach: Yes, No, Unsure
- Talbot Mills used a 6-option structure: Strongly support, Support, Neutral, Unsure, Oppose, Strongly oppose
- We have:
- Aligned Yes with Support and No with Oppose
- Put Neutral in the middle
- Put Unsure at the end
- Used green shades for Strongly support/Support/Yes since it’s the colour associated more with yes or go.
- Used red shades for Strongly oppose/Oppose/No since it’s the colour associated most with no or stop.
- Used grey for Neutral since it’s used often for shades of grey in the middle.
- Used white for Unsure which blends into the background since they didn’t have a view one way or the other.
- Talbot Mills fieldwork dates were August 2-30, and their sample size was 1,066 respondents.
- Curia’s fieldwork dates were August 22-23, and their sample size was 1,000 respondents.
